What Gadget Seller Guide

Welcome to What Gadget! Where gadget ecommerce can thrive!

Now you have been accepted to start selling on What Gadget, it's time to set up your account and start selling.
Below is the full guide to signing up, setting up, running and managing your What Gadget shop. 

 

Signing up to What Gadget couldn't be easier. Once you have received the login link from us via email, create your account on the seller login portal. Accept the membership fee's and wait for us to accept you as a seller (within 48 hours). Once accepted, you can then login again at the seller portal above and start building your What Gadget shop. You can also read and accept the Membership commitment on the screen below.

The next step is to add your account details. The account is partly your shopfront and partly your own personal information. As seen in the image below, please complete each step carefully to create your perfect What Gadget shopfront. Adding all your shop's details is easy and simple and looks good on your shop page which will attract sellers to your other products inside your shop.

Your What Gadget invoice is super important to run your What Gadget shop smoothly. Only a few clicks creates the perfect invoice on the screen below.

Adding your payment details is also super simple. Make sure you do not skip this step! Using PayPal here will ensure the quickest payment from the What Gadget marketplace purchases of your products. You can add PayPal payment details or bank transfer card details. If you use PayPal then you will be paid instantly after the customer has purchased the item. If you choose bank transfer then you will be paid at the end of the month.

Setting up the shipping configurations allows your products to be sold and shipped. Returns is also extremely important as this links to the What Gadget team, telling you that you need to accept a return from a customer and deal with it. You can set up your own shipping preferences, express shipping charges etc. or choose free shipping. We advise you aim to have free shipping on most of your products as this is the most attractive to the buyer and sometimes they will pick a free shipped item over a pay for shipping item.

What's a shop without products?! Using the boxes from the screenshot below, add individual products, variations of the product, stock information and display of your product.

Adding products in bulk allows you to upload multiple products to What Gadget quicker. Variation information, SKUs... is all included to make the upload of your products simple and seamless and get as many products as you can displayed on WhatGadget as quick as possible. This is all done via CSV upload which is found in the Products > Products Listing section if you hover over more actions and click on Add Products By CSV.

When you have completed the upload, using the template provided, make sure that you click validate, and then submit, then you may have to wait for the What Gadget Admin to accept your upload. If validation says failed, try refreshing your page.

 

Orders can be fulfilled easily in the order section of your What Gadget seller dashboard. Make sure you complete all steps to be able to receive payments for your sales properly and as quickly as possible. If you have any issues with this, please contact us.

 

Returns are a vital part to your shop's shopping experience on What Gadget. We have included a specific section to deal with returns requests simply through WhatGadget.
